The Muse, designed by Swedish designer Monica Förster, is a magnificent masterpiece of simplicity that perfectly embodies this vision. Exceptionally comfortable, the Muse sofa invites conversation and relaxation, both in public spaces and at home. This social furniture with its light and soft aesthetic is versatile and adapts to a wide variety of spaces. The elegant arched backrest that balances delicately on the sofa seat is a testament to the ingenuity of the Artifort development team.

 Muse, created by Swedish designer Monica Förster, is a masterpiece of simplicity that fits perfectly within this vision. An extremely comfortable sofa, Muse invites conversation and relaxation, both in public spaces and at home. The light, soft aesthetic of this very convivial piece gives it great versatility. The elegant arched back that appears to be delicately balanced on the sofa's seat testifies to the ingenuity of Artifort's development team.

Muse is a luxurious, sculptural sofa with a curved, arched back: a perfect centrepiece for any setting. The design’s defining feature is its long, open back that is delicately connected to the seat. Muse has an exceptional comfort thanks to the use of high-quality foam in the seat and backrest.


Muse collection

The Muse collection consists of a 3-seater sofa and a matching ottoman.


Seat height

Muse comes with a standard seat height of 45 cm. The matching ottoman has a seat height of 40 cm.


Upholstery

Upholstery is available in a wide range of premium fabrics in a wide variety of colours.


Base

The metal base is specially cast for Muse. The two legs are finished in a powder coating as standard. Choice of fifty colours.

Strong, restrained and poetic. Monica Förster (1966), creator of some of the most internationally renowned objects in contemporary Swedish design today, grew up close to the Arctic circle in the very north of Sweden. Her work is characterized by a strong sense of pure form mixed with a never- ending curiosity for new materials and technology. Always trying to work in a cross-disciplinary way, she invents and renews typologies in industrial, furniture and object design. Her talent for creativity and design blossomed during her studies at two of Sweden's largest design colleges, Beckmans and Konstfack. In 1999 she founded her own Monica Förster Design Studio in Stockholm. Förster has won numerous awards for her work, such as Designer of the Year, and has been exhibited around the world in museums and institutions such as the Museum of Modern Art in New York. The studio works on an international level with companies such as Alessi, George Jensen, Offecct and Volvo. Suit is her first design for Artifort.
